CREATING S P A C E

Hello, September! It’s a treat to welcome you again. I wasn’t always fond of this season—summer came to an end, school started, and the adjustment period was tough. But now? September has become my favorite month of the year. The shifts and changes it brings are so necessary and welcomed.

After spending a long, sun-drenched summer in Greece, I’ve been back home in California for about a month and a half, settling into a comforting daily routine. The weather is cooling, the colors around us are changing, and with the kids back in school and their sports in full swing, life has found its rhythm again.

Taking up more space physically

Space to do nothing and not feel guilty. Space to be, space to think.

In that space I tend to complete a lot of unfinished projects like hanging up some art on the walls that I got last year reading actual paper books and I found myself practicing writing again instead of typing . Having amazingly long quiet times with my son last week, and watching marvel superhero movies with him without feeling bored or guilty or feeling like I am running out of time.

I also took a week's vacation and went to meet my partner in Prague. Which is such a treat. This week I am indulging in long night sleeps and long daily walks around Vltava river. Finishing this blog from an art gallery cafe in the middle of a courtyard.

Space shows up with so many gifts and makes us human beings instead of human doings.

In that space I feel so much more alive, vibrant and creative. I finally decided to launch the XPLOREFIT WELLNESS GUIDE that I’ve been working on (passion project) since the beginning of this year.

This guide is a reflection of my personal journey toward finding balance, space and taking care of what is important to me in a non selfish way. It’s packed with tips and tricks for prioritizing self-care, nurturing important relationships, and maintaining overall health (mental, physical and emotional). I’ve also included some of my favorite simple, delicious, and healthy recipes that anyone can enjoy and I would love to share it with all of you and hear your thoughts.

Book Recommendations for Mental Space & Creativity

If you’re looking to create more space in your life—mentally, emotionally, or creatively—here are a few book recommendations:

  1. "The Untethered Soul" by Michael A. Singer – A profound guide on how to free your mind from constant chatter and create space for peace and creativity.

  2. "Big Magic" by Elizabeth Gilbert – An inspiring read on living a more creative life by making space for curiosity and releasing fear.

  3. "The Art of Stillness" by Pico Iyer – A beautiful reflection on the importance of slowing down and embracing stillness to unlock creativity and clarity.

  4. "In Praise of Slowness" by Carl Honoré – This book challenges the cult of speed, teaching the value of slowing down to cultivate mental space and well-being.

How Do You Create Space?

How do you find balance in September? How do you create space in your life—whether mentally, physically or emotionally? Where do you feel most alive when you slow down and allow space for creativity or peace?

I’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s a story, a practice, or just thoughts on how you create room for yourself, feel free to share. It’s always so lovely hearing back from this community!

And don’t forget to sign up for our newsletter and follow us on social media to stay updated on the launch of the XPLOREFIT WELLNESS GUIDE and future retreat opportunities. Here’s to living your best life—one spacious day at a time.

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN SEPTEMBER AT XPLOREFIT:

Ecuador & Mexico RETREATS HAVE LAUNCHED and OUR BELOVED Greece IN THE WORKS

In addition to the Wellness Guide, XPLOREFIT has two retreats up for spring 2025. First up, we’ll be heading to Ecuador/ Galapagos for our Tonic of Wildness Retreat. It is our very first time there with my retreat partner, Suzanna. I’m so excited to explore this unique part of the world. This retreat is already fully booked, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to trust and travel with us. Stay tuned for updates and content from this exciting new adventure!

Next, our Deep Dive Retreat is happening on April 26, 2025 in Isla Mujeres, a magical Caribbean island known for its stunning skies and sunrises. I’m collaborating with my friend Caramia Tambornino for this retreat. We have a  few spots available. If you’ve never experienced Isla Mujeres, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.

And of course, Greece—our beloved Greece! We’re heading back at the end of next August, this time to the island of Amorgos, one of the most unique Aegean islands and September in Zakynthos for a real treat. We’ll be avoiding the busy tourist season, allowing us to truly soak in the beauty of the islands. Stay tuned for more details soon.

WHAT ELSE HAPPENED IN SEPTEMBER

We recently had a Deep Dive Retreat reunion at Caramia’s house, and it was such an incredible experience to reconnect with all of our past Deep Dive retreaters. Seeing everyone again, sharing stories, and feeling that sense of community was truly amazing.

With all my LOVE from Prague,
