The Benefits of Embracing Solitude
In my earlier blog post, I touched upon the essence of 'taking time.' Whenever I mention taking a 'Me Day' (a short retreat away from the bustle) to my family and friends, they invariably ask what I plan to do. My reply always springs from a place of simplicity—nothing. I wish no agenda, no plan, not even a hint of what the day may unfold. I crave to wake up and flow with whatever my heart resonates with on that day.
In the societal rhythm we dance to, 'doing nothing' is often misunderstood as wasted time, sparking a little guilt. However, stepping away from the relentless march of daily chores to revel in a few days of solitude, free from any agendas, is a cherished gift to oneself.
